Path4 offers a seamless four-year college experience close to home, with exclusive benefits – including scholarship and financial aid advantages – while you complete courses at both Northwest Community College-DeSoto and the University of Mississippi-DeSoto.

The Path4 program offered at the DeSoto Center is a partnership between the University of Mississippi and Northwest Mississippi Community College that gives Mid-South area residents access to an affordable college education from two respected institutions in a convenient location.

  • Advising at Northwest and Ole Miss-DeSoto as early as your freshman year to make sure you’re taking the right classes to move through your degrees efficiently.
  • Information on scholarship opportunities and applications particularly for Path4 students that can help fund your academic experience.
  • Confirmation that you’re progressing through your degrees in a way that maximizes access to federal financial aid during both of your programs and as you transition from your associate’s to bachelor’s degree.

Rooted in DeSoto County

The innovative academic partnership between Northwest Community College and Ole Miss began at the old Southaven City Hall location off of Stateline Road in the late 1970s and moved into the current DeSoto Center campus on Church Road in 1996.

Since that time, thousands of Mid-South area residents have had the opportunity to pursue their career goals and earn their college degrees from two of the most well-respected institutions in the state and region.
